Spring/Summer Co-ed Basketball League
Sign Up – The Metro Atlanta Churches of Christ co-ed basketball
league is gearing up. If you are interested in playing, please sign the
list in the rear foyer. This league is for males and females and games
are played on Friday evenings starting around 7:45 p.m. at a local area
school gymnasium. See David Bishop with any questions.

Up Close and Personal with Sharon
Hamilton, Part II is Saturday, May 15 from 5- 7 p.m. at the home of
Floyd & Carla Williams. More details to follow.

Plans are underway for West End’s
participation in the Annual Georgia AGAPE Golf Marathon event set for
May 17. Although we have a great day of golf, this event is primarily
about raising funds for the children and families served through AGAPE.
This is a two-month long fund raising effort culminating in a grand
golfing experience. Anyone interested in participating as a team member,
both men and women, contact Bill Moore (404-593-3381or aga7043@comcast.net)
and Gerald Duncan (678-794-4491).

West End Singles Ministry – Singles
ages 18 to and up interested in bible studies, nursing home visits,
singles needs workshops, fellowship, retreats, supporting mission work,
and traveling to fellowship with those of like mind please provide your

The Second Annual “Singles with Wings or
Wheels” trip will be July 10-11 to Nashville, TN. Please express
interest in attending no later than May 9 by contacting Denise West or
emailing westendcocsingles@yahoo.com. Also, mark your calendar for our
third trip to Cleveland, OH, on August 13-15.

Coming in August – The West End
Health Fair and Back to School Program 2010 is scheduled for August 7.
All Healthcare professionals and vendors who provide healthcare services
and products should contact Robin Knox at Peachy9x@netscape.net or
anyone on the Training and Development committee.

Coming in September – Registration
continues for the annual Marriage Retreat. It will be held September
9-12 at the Winshape Retreat in Rome, GA. The cost per couple is $500.
Partial payments are being accepted now. Make checks payable to West End
Church of Christ. Balance is due August 31. Register online at
www.marriagesmadestronger.com. Space is limited.

Men's Bible Study and Training is
held every third Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall in the
Educational Building.

Georgia AGAPE Needs Foster Parents –
Georgia Agape’s next foster parent training classes will prepare
families who are willing to accept sibling groups, older children and
children with special needs. Contact GA AGAPE at 770-452-9995 for
details. West End’s Percy and Brenda Bagby have completed the classes
and are certified to be foster or adoptive parents.

May 8 at the Simpson Street CofC from 2-4 p.m. Costs are as follows: $10
