Who would have thought a trip to South DeKalb Mall would change one’s life in such a way. I met and have been married to my wife for over thirty years and that meeting helped bring me to the Church. I was taught the gospel by my wife’s uncle and father. They helped pave the foundation for my walk of service in the Lord’s church. I always had a desire to work in the Lord’s church in a serving capacity and have been a deacon for twenty-three years.

I have learned that we ourselves can do nothing but when we realize who God is and His wonderful power, there is nothing I cannot do. Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” As a deacon I must always strive to humble myself and remember it requires time and patience and understanding of others to win souls to Christ.
